Bender 2001-
I'll continue our saga here.  We ran into a few problems.  I think I can name them; cracked off porch, gummed up gutters, and falling retaining walls.  My brother made very good use of my summer so here it is almost November and though I've gathered all the parts, I'm still with out a recumbent bicycle.

We, and I use that term lightly, gathered most all the parts for the frame assembly. It took the longest to find an inexpensive source for a mild steel sheet.  Last weekend we finally drilled into steel. The seat jig and seat pieces are ready.  The frame jig is also finished for the most part.  We drilled the holes into the mild steel and are looking forward to trying the jig saw with a metal cutting blade.

My brother is going to try his hand at grinding the posts that holds the front deraileur.  I get to sew the seats.  I've already cut out the fabric now to pick up the nylon web and heavy duty thread.

I was thinking of riding the local bike trail this fall but it looks like these will be bender bent 2001's.
Today is Oct.24, 2000
A little example of my summer of projects
