Jack Pigott moved to Lake City, FL between 1934 and 1938. He
   is mentioned as living in Lake City in 1938.
  
  Early in his life Jack realized the importance of education.
   He left his family farm in his early teen years to complete his
  high school education while living with his uncle Edgar Johnson
   in McComb, Mississippi. Though he didn't graduate from high
  school until age 22, he continued his education at Draughn
  Business College in Memphis, Tennessee while working for the
  Illinois Central Railroad.
  
   In early adulthood he lived in Walnut Grove, Mississippi where
   he owned a wholesale grocery business. He also served at
  President of a bank in Walnut Grove in the early years of the
  Great Depression. He was proud of the fact that the bank
  remained open while many others failed.
  
  After moving to Florida in the mid 1930's he again established
   a wholesale grocery business. This he sold in order to enter
   the Navy during World War II. After the war he began a
  building supply business, Pigott Wholesale Company, located on
   N. Fifth St. in Lake City and worked as a general contractor.

NOTE:   Robert Edgar PERSONS,   31 MAR 1914 - 04 JUN 1990
After graduating from the University of Florida Robert taught
  business courses in high school at Cross City, Florida for
  several years. While there he met and married Marion Carson.
  They shortly moved to Lake City, Florida where he began a
  poultry business known as Pine Acres Poultry Farm located on
  Highway 41 south of Lake City. An astute businessman, Robert
  eventually was involved in ventures as diverse as a feed store
   and a concrete business.

Marion served for 50 years as a member of the official board of
  Falling Creek Methodist Church, and he also served for many
  years as a trustee of the county school system.



NOTE:   Sarah Lee (Sadie) RIVERS,   16 NOV 1882 - 06 DEC 1975
Sadie's family were members of the Primitive Baptist Church and
   at the age of 88 she was still attending footwashing services.
   But she attended Falling Creek Methodist Church regularly and
   for many years she was the leader of the Sunday school.



NOTE:   George Theodore PIGOTT,   20 MAR 1874 - 17 JUN 1937
Theodore was born and spent the early years of his life in what
   is now the Crystal Springs Community, Walthall County,
  Mississippi. In 1892 he married Ada Johnson. A portion of the
  newspaper account of the marriage reads, "The groom is a
  prosperous young man of an old, well known family of Pike
  County and in winning Miss Johnson he won one of the most
  beautiful and accomplished young ladies our county can afford."
  
  After their marriage Theodore and Ada lived hear his parents
   for two years. Theodore was a charter member (1893) of Crystal
  Springs Baptist Church. Early in 1895 the couple moved to the
  Smyrna Community on Leatherwood Creek near Holmesville,
  Mississippi.
  
   In the Smyrna Community the family originally lived with Ada's
  parents. After the birth of their first child they moved to a
  home that had been known as the "old Thomas place" on
  Otopisas(?) River near Holmesville. Still later they moved to
   a farm known as the "Thornhill place." Finally Theodore bought
   a 320 acre farm called the "O'Mara place" where Theodore and
   Ada lived the remainder of their lives.
