This is Alec, a happy, healthy, and friendly Norn raised by Alexandra Shephard, the well-known author in the Creatures Breeder's Stories world. But this Norn did not lead the happy, carefree life many Norns lead. No, Alec was none other than Needful of AntiNorn's Tortured Norns website. He was beaten and badgered for most of his life, until June 10th, 1999, on which he became the first Norn to become a part of Project A.S.L.A.N, A Second Life for Abused Norns. It was then that he was given to Alexandra, the first member to join the Project, and his life was completely changed. He learned that The Hand is not an enemy, or rather It shouldn't be. He learned how great it is to eat, and to feel safe, and to play without a care in the world. But most importantly, he learned how wonderful it is to be loved, to have someone who cares about you watching over you and making sure no harm comes to you. He is the first Norn to successfully complete the Project A.S.L.A.N. program (or to even take part in it!), and we hope that his success will be followed by many other Norns who are able to have a second chance to live their lives. But for now, here is his story, with information supplied by his "Hand", Alexandra, and put into "story" form by me, Starry.
