Heart-felt feelings,
Showed my path all along.
Anger and hate now show,
How much they were wrong.
The words your voice sang—
I thought they were true.
I can see the lies now told.
I wish then, I knew.
With the beauty of your eyes,
Forgiveness you could see.
But the depth to them,
Further deceived me.
With your soul,
You could see to my heart.
But you only sought to reach
it,
To tear it apart.
When I cried in pain,
You were there to help.
But just to me you’d give
The bad cards you were delt.
With your ears I thought you
listened,
Through all the tough times.
But what you said back,
Were all just fake lines.
But now I see
Through all of your lies
The beauty gone from your
face,
Hate rules your eyes.
Your voice has now died,
And with it—your heart.
You’ll never again
Tear me apart.
Your eyes never listened,
Your eyes never really saw.
Your heart never cared,
Your senses—numb and raw.
And with this anger I let out,
I let our friendship go.
How special it could have
been,
Now you’ll never know.
