When I loved the forest,
I almost felt whole.
The serene of the woods,
Finally freed my soul.
When I loved the birds,
I felt my spirit take wing.
The world oblivious to me,
I open my heart to sing.
When I loved the solitude,
I realized who I cared about.
It was my friends I most missed.
But it was without them I
found out.
When I loved my friends,
I realized I really could
love.
Most of all these angels,
Sent from above.
When I loved another,
Now a close friend,
She gave me strength,
And would to the end.
But when I loved myself,
Inside and all,
With my friends supporting
me,
I knew I’d never again fall.
