Ultramorphs Chapter 1 My name is Zac. I'm the leader of the UltraMorphs. We are in the fight against an alien race, very dangerous. Five kids and one Andilite is an easy opponite but little did anyone know about the new allies we would acquire in our fight. Austin, Justin, Becka, Sara and I were just hanging out around the cybertia at the mall. Brittany wasn't there because she was in her avoiding us stage ever since Becka and Justin afended her. I was checking my e-mail and juging down a shulshy. Sara got an enormous brain freeze after wolfing down the shulshy at 20gs. All of the sudden 6 kids walked in. I automatically recognized 3 of them. Cassie, Rachel and Brittany were the three that were also accompanied by three boys about their age. "Hey Zac, that guy over there is in my math class. His name is Jake. And then another one is this guy named Marco." Austin whispered to me. "Yeah but who is that clueless lunatic and fashion freak of a guy over there." Becka whispered to me in my other ear. "Hey Brittany aren't those your friends over there?" Rachel asked Brittany. "You could call them that. What do you want to eat?" Brittany said. "Hey Jake, look at that clueless lunatic and fashion freak of a girl over there scarfing down the sluchies." Cassie said to the boy named Jake while speaking of Sara. Why all of the sudden was Brittany hanging around these-- these-- these strange people. She was sposed to be an UltraMorph and here she is trusting these people that could be controllers. What if Brittany was a controller too? "All of those humans are unoccupied but at least 3 of them have a massive power supply." I heard Sara say to Austin. "All of those humans are unoccupied but at least 2 of them have a massive power supply." I heard the strange guy say to Jake. Finally, I summoned up the courage to go over to their leader Jake and look him in the eyes to see if I could peek behind his plotting eyes. As I walked over it appeared that he had the same idea and was also walking over to me. "I'm Jake. Have you talked to Victor Trent lately?" Jake slyly asked me. "I'm Zac. Have you ate any maple flavored oatmeal? Oh yeah that's right controllers don・t eat that kind of stuff." I said back. "So, where did you get the shoes? 1-800-steal-the-bodies-of-humans?" Rachel slyly asked Becka. "Like the hair. Who did it for you, Mrs. Yeerk Mother in charge" Becka said back. "What are you doing here?" As if I didn't have enough time to put up with my dad all day, you and the rest of you aliens invade Earth!" Marco said to Justin. "Leave me alone! So I broke into a few kandronna rooms and messed things up! My friends made me!" Just complained back. "I do not understand the quiviling with each other. It appears as if they dislike one another." Sara said to the strange guy. "You seem familiar to me Earthling." the strange guy said to Sara. "I am not a Earthling. I am Andilite." Sara said. "This must be discussed elsewhere!!" the guy said in a shrill whisper. "Ax is right. All of us will meet at the city park near the gazebo at 11:00 sharp." Jake said to me. "And for the record, we・re not controllers." I said. Chapter 2 We managed to talk to Brittany and get things pretty much settled. So all six of us met the five of them and their pet hawk in the park. "Do you have the power to morph?" Jake started. I changed into a dog then back to human. "How did you receive the power to morph?" Austin asked. The hawk thought spoke to all of us but looked at Austin. <Elfangor gave it to us. It・s Ax・s older brother. But he-- he・s dead, Visser III killed him.> "We got the power from Sarah. I believe you know her." Becka said as Sara changed into Andilite. "Yes. I believe you know Ax." Rachel said as Ax changed to Andilite. <You are the one that followed me here on this planet. I tried to contact your pod as I was falling into the ocean but communication was cut off.> Ax said to Sara. <I did not receive any contacts Andilite cousin Ax.> Sara said when she was in full morph. "Brittany, you knew about all you・re friends having the power to morph and you didn・t tell us?" Cassie asked Brittany. "Well it was kind of hard to with everything going that・s been going on." Brittany said. "I'm your friend and you can tell me anything." Cassie said. "There you're wrong. We have our own battle with the yeerks." I said. "We won't have any contact with you group unless the leaders scheldual a rendezvous. I'm the leader of the Animorphs." Jake said. "I'm the leader of the UltraMorphs." I said. "You can't do that!!" They're my friends!! All of them from both sides!!" Brittany said. I had to argue with her. There was something I didn't like about Jake. I couldn't help glaring at him with bitter hate. "We need all the help we can get Jake!! You said yourself that you didn't think five kids could beat the yeerks!!" Cassie said. "Not this time Cassie." Jake said as he walked away and out of the park. "Stay away from them Brittany." I said sternly to Brittany as I walked away the other way and out of the park from the other exit. Chapter 3 Brittany was having a hard time cooping with the idea. She hated the idea. I thought is was best and for her own good. She often skipped meeting because of "issues of importance". But I had a feeling it was to hang out around them. We didn't need their help and we weren't going to use it. We had meetings every other day since the rendezvous for 2 weeks which is when I sick with the flu so I couldn't go to meetings. When I was better, I stopped by the gym in town to pick up a water bottle I had left there and I noticed Brittany's bike outside. The door of the gym she was in was set on computer lock and there were no windows anywhere that looked inside. So I slid in under the door as a lizard and watched what Brittany was up to. Rachel was helping her in gymnastics while Cassie and Tobias (the hawk) helped her improve her powers. Brittany had acquired strange power that I・d never seen before. She practiced teliconiseous, morphing into a liquid substance, and her morphing into animals had gotten much smother and faster. "Your family must be pretty powerful Brittany, so why did you mother only give you a few powers?" Rachel asked. "Maybe I have to use these and learn to use them before I can get anymore. You know, trane until I・ve got it down then go to the next power. I guess I・m just not ready yet." Brittany said doing a back-no hand-flip and landing on the mat perfectly. <You・re doing very well in physical and power traning.> Tobias said. All of the sudden in the middle of Brittany・s mid air flip Brittany stopped movement all together. She hit the matte hard then clinched into a small ball. She yelled out because of a pain in her stomach. She had yelled out before because of stomach pains but everytime it gets worse for her. This was the worst yet. I panicked, I was worried. I morphed back quickly then ran to her. "Brittany!" I said nealing down beside her trying to find a way to help her. "Zac! Go get one of those towles from the locker to put uder her head!! Here・s my key. And get her water bottle from her gym bag." Cassie said. I obidantly did as instructed and hurried back to Brittany. She had got a little worse and was now. "Brittany, how do you feel. It・ll help if you dry to talk and get you blood moving around some." Rachel said. "My stamoc is-- cramping up-- I・m not so much hurting from the fall, but--- but--- it・s hard to breath--" she stressed to say. "We need to get her a docter." I said. "Go get the nurse from her office down the hall." Rachel said to Cassie. "No, I・ll go. You stay and help Rachel, Cassie." I said.
The nurse couldn・t explain what was wrong with Brittany and Brittany wouldn・t let the nurse contact her parents. The nurse was still going through school and was only working at the gym after classes. Rachle helped Brittany home while I walked Cassie to her house on the way to mine. Cassie lived on an animal reserv. Her dad was a Vet and took in wounded animals and nursed them back to health. "Why did you walk me home when you and Jake made a deal not to talk to the other team?" Cassie sudenly asked. "I figured it was the least I could do since you and Rachel helped Brittany." I said. Cassie had long, thick, dark brown hair. She normaly kept it pinned up on her head but I thought she looked rather nice with it hanging down naturly like that. A gental breeze would come by and blow it a little causing it to have a mistal look. I didn・t really mean to stare at her but I like to anilize things with my eyes that look beuitiful to me. Cassie was one of those rare creatures that was devinly beuitful. Pretty couldn・t describe it enough and just plain beuitiful didn・t seem the right word either. "Well Zac this is my house." She said coming to a stop. We both stood sort of nervouly quiet while I rased my eyes to take in her eligance for just a little longer. "I-- I guess I・ll see you later then Cassie," I said. "Zac, you know, I think you・re cute too." She said as she walked away up the drive way. As I walked the rest of the way to my house a group of kids on bikes rode up to me. I could tell they were a year or two older than me. "Hey, have you joined the Sharing yet? It・s a lot of fun and there・s a bunch of hot chicks there." one kids said. "I haven・t found the time yet." I said staring at someone I knew was a controller if they were working for the Sharing club. An all yeerk host group. "Well, here is a flyer. We have meets every three days. The next one is tonight at 6:00. So will I see you there dude?" another kid said, "You might," I said walking on. Chapter 4 The 6 of us went to the "Sharing" meeting that night. Of course, it was strictly UltraMorph buisness to get in there. We had only been in thier underground once before. That was when there was a group of kids broke in there and unlocked a bunch of kids that were awaiting being bugged. This time we planed to get into their controll rooms and get a closer look at the kandrona pool. We entered into the underground with a lot of other kids by going in through the school. They were all controllers you could guess. There were people screaming as the yeerk dropped out of thier head and they learned they were free. There was a strange noise of some creature that I could hear somewhere close. There was Visser 3 in the controll both that looked down on the whole operation. If there was a way, I knew we needed to get Visser 3 out of there and get to the controlls. As we walked on with the group, I heard a familar fapping of wings. I looked up and there was Tobias the Hawk flying over to a bunch cans of some junk. <Hey guys. The other group is here too. You need any help?> he asked us. I didn・t know how to answer. It was impossible for a person to talk in thought speech while they weren・t in morph. <Yeah, how do we Visser 3 out of the controll room so we can get in?> Brittany answered. The other 5 of us looked at her astonished. Justin・s eyes nearly popped out of his head and I had to forse myself from saying anything back. <Oh, sorry guys. I forgot to tell you that my powers have gotten so strong that I can now thought speek while not in morph.> Brittany said once she noticed our faces. A familar figure walked up to us. As I quickly vocused on the figure I reconised it as Principall Chapman. "I don・t believe we・ve seen you here before Zac. Welcome to the Sharing. Welcome to being yeerked." he said to me then waved his hand to a couple of men who come right over. "Yes sir?" they asked him. "Take this boy here to the pool. Make sure he has the full job done. I don・t want any goofs." he said to them then shot me a devilish glance. The two men grabbed me by the arms and then dragged me to the pool. I struggled and tried to pull myself free. I was so filled with horro that my vocal cords tighted, unallowing me to make a scream. The screams of other children around me, children I went to school with filled my ears. The begining of the line came into vocus. A kid just had the yeerked removed and now began to scream out and struggle. My head got heavy and my eyes blacked out for a minute, the men dragged me on. All of the sudden I heard an alarm and saw a cage of some Alien creature open. I heard the yells of controllers saying that someone had broke into the fuse box and was pulling all the switches. I heard a roar of a tiger, then saw it leap at the two men holding me. I was free of the men・s grasp and now sumbled to get my ballance. I failed then fell to the ground. I got to my knees then saw a gray puddle of liquid moving over to me. The puddle stopped next to me and formed into a person. Brittay!! She took my hand then morphed the two of us into the puddle. Somehow she had gotten the power to morph into water and was now taking me to a little enclosed space behind a large area of barrles. "You still human?" She asked me after turning the two of us into out right form. I looked around the space and saw Justin, Marco, Cassie, Rachel, Becka, Jake, Sara, and Ax. "Tobias and Austin are the ones pulling the breakers in the fuse box. Soon they・ll be able to pull the one for the electricity. Then the one for the engines that run the kandronna pools. They can・t pull the master switch because it requires a speacil key." Cassie said in almost a wisper. "I managed to get a Dracon Ray after Jake knocked out a controller." Rachel said in her quiet voice also. "I was able to get the disk back. Maybe now we can see what it will do. You have any ideas Ax?" Jake asked holding up a strange disk-like figure. "Uh-- we・ll tell you where we go it later." Marco said. "Here is 2 flashlights I just happened to pick up from my house." Becka said. "Guys, lets just get out of here. I can・t take much more of this." I said realizing that I was sweating. The lights went out. Then I heard the running of enigns ceese. I never saw a darker place. I heard a click and saw Becka turn on one of her flashlights. Tobias then called us from outside the barrles, <Let・s get out now. Austin is hurt! I think he got shot by a dracon beam.> Then Brittany made the ones of us in the little space hold hand with each other. A second later we were all morphing into liquid. We slid back under the barrles then turned back. Ax and Sara turned into Andilite then into some small rodents, Jake and Marco turned into lizard-like creatures, Cassie and Rachel turned into cats, and I turned into a bald eagle. Brittany followed Tobias to Austin, and came back with Austin and her in liquid morph. <Let・s move!> Jake said to all of us as we all flew, scampered, or what ever Brittany did to move in her morph, and escaped out of the underground the way we came in. Chapter 5 We all morphed back into our own forms when we were out back of the school close to the garbage cans. Ax and Sara turned human, and then all of us turned our attention to Austin. This was the time I needed to tell everyone my secreat. " Guys, when Sara gave us the power I got another extra power that I don・t think any of you have. The power must have awoken a new power in me and just increased it to where I could use it. I can use my inner force to recontruct objects that are broken or damaged. I think it has something to do with rearranging the object・s molicules. I・ve never tried it on anything living, but I think that if we want Austin to be alive tommarro I should try. Without an arrqument from anyone I reached out my hand to Austin・s wound. I summoned up all the power I could and consentrated on healing him. He was my best friend and I wasn・t going to lose him for anything. I felt my limbs grow weak and sweat poured down from my head even harder. I focussed harder then realized that he was getting better. I stopped fealing that there was nothing more I could do. I put all I could into healing him. I thought for one quick moment I had failed. Then Austin started to come to. He woke up and just sat for a minuet and talked to everyone. I couldn・t belive it. I did it by my own powers. I had saved his life when he needed it most. I had did it. I had did it. I had did it. Then next day I was extreamly tired and weak. Brittany called, said she felt the same way and we agreeded to cansel the meeting for that afternoon. I needed time to adjust to everything that had happened, and to learn how to use my new incredible gift. |
