Human Female In Praying Position
by JoshuaAM@aol.com

Many, many years ago, Andalites came to earth with the motive to steal a number of things dealing with human culture. One of the things they stole came from a European cathedral. It was a statue of a saint on her knees in prayer. The woman's hands were clasped and her head was facing towards the sky, eyes closed.

This was taken back to the Andalite homeworld, where it started a huge uproar among the Andalites. There were attempts to steal it many times, without success. Here are the writings of Ranbiad-Hushtous-Werten, an Andalite historian.

Magic, complete magic. That a human sculptor could put such power into a figure of a religious figure. The figure is clearly humanoid in every way. We know the woman is important somehow to this religion, but in no way a god. We know the posture in which she is sitting is a position of prayer to the single God of her religion. And her artificial skin! I know little about artificial skin, but her clothing obviously shows she is humble, and kind.

The power this small girl holds is great, and I see how she could be important. From humans, a species whose name is not even capitalized in their own language, this is a very great success. Their religion, though inferior to the Andalite religion, it is one all Andalites should try to learn about.

"Human Female In Praying Postion" is housed in an Andalite museum (yes, they have museums) with that quote from Ranbiad. It is one of the most popular attraction to this museum because it tells a lot about human culture, religion, and how caring they can be, despite their common label as being a cruel, primitive species.
