The Relationship Chapter 1 My name is Sares-Esgoth-Ishtill. I am an Andalite from the Andalite homeworld. You might wonder why I don・t play with sounds as much as Aximili. Well, Aximili is new at morphing human, and has no human blood in him. Opposed to I who is 50 percent human from my mother Amie-Ishtill-Sailore. Her human name was Amy Ishtill Sailore. It had to be changed when.... why don・t I just tell you the hole story? My father・s name was Johnathon-Esperous-Judla. My father was a very skilled Andalite worrier. He disliked the pain of battle and went to another place to find peace. A place you human・s know as Mercury. There was a small dying family that had crashed there on their hi-jacked blade ship. My father was badly wounded when he landed there. The eldest girl risked her own life by getting into a stolen space suit and going into the Andalite battle pod. In the month that she nursed the my father back to health, her parents died and my father fell in love with the girl. The girl did not posses the illness her family did. My father repaired his ship and took the girl back to the Andalite homeworld. Another Andalite married the two and swore that he would never tell anyone about the girl. This girl of course was my mother. The government became more strict about finding races of other kinds on the planet. It was in secrecy and my mother・s safety that my father gave my mother the power to morph an Andalite form. My mother chose to morph the sister of my father that lived with them. My mother decided to stay in that morph as a Nothlit. One Andalite year later, my mother gave birth to twins. Andalites, but with human blood and hair like humans had. But only a dark blue color. <Jonathan, how will we be able to keep them?? The government will check up on us and see their hair.> my mother said. <Amie, I have broken many laws bringing you here, marring you, and loving you. These ．children・ as you call them, will be taken care of as far as my power will allow them. I will not let any Andalite, destroy them. They are ours, and ours they shall stay. Plus, there are some Andalite that have ．hair・ on their heads.> my father said cradling my brother. <I have brought the holy Andalite here to see them.> my Aunt said. It was the same Holy Andalite that married my father and mother. <Their names shall be, as their life shall be. May they live by their blood, and honor their family.> my father said starting the ceremony. <The female・s name shall be and stay as I say. Sares for my mother Sara. Esgoth for the ship of my Jonathan that he crashed on, and Ishtill for my middle name.> my mother said. <Sares-Esgoth-Ishtill.> the Holy Andalite confirmed. <The male・s name shall be and stay as I say. Lucas for my father. Austuras for the star that burns bright like his heart. Findeltron for my cousin and worrier Prince.> my father said. <Lucas-Austuras-Findeltron> the Holy Andalite confirmed. <Then these two are blessed by the land, and protected by spilled Andalite blood. Let anyone speak to de nonuse it.> the Holy Andalite said putting water on the hoofs of both my brother and I. "I AM AFRAID I HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY." a misty figure know as the Great Ellimist said. "THESE TWO HAVE NO CHANCE ON THIS PLANET THE WAY THEY ARE. I SHALL GIVE THE GIRL, THE POWER OF ANDALITES AND THE MOTHER HER OWN ANDALITE FORM. THIS SHALL PROTECT THE FAMILY FROM THE GOVERNMENT." the Ellimist said. <And Lucas??> my mother asked. "THAT IS THE CATCH. FOR EVERYTHING I DO, THERE IS A CATCH. THE MALE, LUCAS WILL GO TO EARTH AND LIVE AS A HUMAN. WHEN HE IS OLD ENOUGH, AND IF IT IS THE NECESSARY, HE WILL BE TOLD HIS PAST AND GIVEN AN ANDALITE FORM. YOU WILL NOT CONTACT HIM UNTIL THAT TIME." the Ellimist said. <Jonathan no.> my mother pleaded with all four eyes on my father. <It・s best to save the life of you and Sares, then risk all of us. Lucas will live. He is strong with my blood, and wise with yours. We have no choice my love.> my father said with his hearts breaking, and his inner tear ducks, if Andalite have any, crying. "IT IS DONE." I grew up a normal Andalite girl. I excelled in my schooling and lived the live my parents had hopped. I had no time for friends, and fighting was not usually permitted to females. But my father insisted that I learn. My father went of fewer, and fewer battles. My mother gave birth to my younger female sibling when I was at the age of 12. Then there was a necessary battle that my father had to fight, close to a world known as Earth. My mother and father・s eyes clouded with tears. <What is the matter with this planet?? Is there no grass??> I asked. My parents then told me of my brother. My father agreed that he would sneak my mother, sister, and I on the dome ship so we could reunite with my brother on Earth. I saw no one on the ship except my mother and sister. There was a attack by a Yeerk blade ship, a Visser blade ship the day we were closest to the Earth. I heard hoofs pounding on the metal floor as Andalite worriers rushed to their battle pods. My father one of them amongst Elfangor. Our ship was being attacked with no pods to defend it. My mother rushed me into a pod. I grabbed my belongings as I went in the pod. I went to the window and saw the fight with battle pods. My father died in battle with all the other pods, except one. He saved the life of Prince Elfangor by taking the shot for him. My mother rushed back to get my sister as the dome part of the ship was launched off the main part. There were malfunctions in the main frame from shots that had been fired at us. My mother was in sight of the pod door. Then a beam from the ceiling feel on my mother and sister. As I remained helpless with my face against the window on the air lock, I saw my dying mother looking toward me with her suffering eyes. <Go my child. Escape from this death trap. Never allow the Yeerks to get the better of you.> <Mother, no! I can't leave you!> I yelled in thought speech. <You won't leave me, as long as I'm in your heart. Now go> <Mother. I'm too young! I can't service!> <Sares-Esgoth-Ishtill, leave now> were my mother's last words as she died. <Mother!!> I cried. <I will not shame you. I shall overcome. I will survive.> and just as I was getting ready to leave, I noticed the living sector of the dome ship fall towards the Earth atmosphere. As it did so, I noticed one of my Andalite cousins inside. And so with my Andalite survival kit, my mini Andalite computer, my Dracon Beam, and 1 week supply of air and food, I followed after my Andalite cousin onto a strange and dangerous planet of deadly obstacles and many perils. You know the rest of the story. I met five wondering children and as we were fled into my pod and I thought I would die from a wound of a Blade Ship, I gave them the power to morph. Later, I discovered that the boy Austin I had given the power to morph was my twin brother Lucas. My brother received a hologram transmission from my father, and his Andalite form when he was in a dream state. And of course, my Andalite Cousin in the part of the dome that had broken off, was Aximili. I now serve the children know as the UltraMorphs. They fight along side the Animorphs, with their Allies the Chee. Chapter 2 I awoke the next morning in the barn that my brother and his Earthling family owned. His father never used it, and small animals were the only other inhabitants. It was peaceful in there. Aximili soon came by in his human morph. "Please morph human." he said. I did so and stared at him in confusion. "Yes, what is this for??" I asked. The next minuet I felt a strange feeling on my mouth. I saw on TV that it was kissing. Aximili was kissing me. What reason?? I couldn・t breath. My nose was trapped and my mouth was occupied. I couldn・t breath!!! I had no tail to defend myself. Help!!! I woke up. I recognized it as a dream. Austin came in the door and said hi. "Are you okay??" he asked. <I had a strange vision in my dream. I don・t understand why it frightened me so.> I said. "Its called a nightmare. Everyone has them. Don・t worry." Austin said brining in some gummy bears (my favorite human food). <But the--- the ．nightmare・, was so real and distinctive. It was about--> I started, "NO!! Don・t talk about a nightmare before you eat breakfast. It・s a superstition. You know, black cats and voodoo dolls." Austin said. <I believe I will tell you another time then,> I said before stepping out and eating my meal of grass.
Brittany was getting ready for a celebration. "Okay, it・s July 4th. The day the United States of America celebrates our won independence from the British. Everyone does something different. Cook food out on grills, play golf, make a quilt, set off fireworks for amusement, or I do what my mom and her mom did all the time until they turned 18. Invite my best friends over for a 4th of July sleep-over. The spend the night at my house while we play games and talk. Telling secrets is also fun." Brittany said. <But it is the 5th of July. Austin confirmed of it.> I said on the window sill. "Well, all businesses celebrate it the day of and day after, and most people are spending time with their families on that day. So actually we always celebrate it on the 5th." Brittany said putting air into a strange rubber inflatable object. <Will Austin, Tobias, and Aximili be here??> I asked. "Actually, my mom says I can・t have any boys sleep over. That・s not a proper thing to do. Besides, Austin is going out of town, Aximili is an Andalite, and Tobias-----." Brittany trailed off with the mention of Tobias. <Could I attend??> I asked. "Of course. You are part human after all." Brittany said. I spent the rest of the day working with the disk device. I decided I would work on it while in human morph. Aximili walked in, in a human morph. He helped work on the device. My heart in my human chest was straining every time I saw Aximili in human morph when I was. I told this to Brittany and her other attendants of the party. They were Becka, Melissa, Cassie, and Rachel. All the girls were on the floor when I told them. I was in human morph in case Brittany・s mother walked in. All the girls laughed when I told them about the dream and today. "Sara, you have spring fever." Becka said. "No, if I did have a fever it would be called Summer fervor because that is the current season." I said. "No, she means you have a crush on Aximili." Rachel said. "I would never crush Aximili, in fact I care for him." I said. "No, we mean you want to date him. As in like like him." Cassie said. "Why, is he going spoiled??? Why not refrigerate him??" I asked. "You love Aximili!" Brittany finally said in plain words I understood. I was shocked. My adrenaline level raised, my eyes shifted quickly, my fingers tingled. "I do??" I asked. "Sara, when a girl likes a guy, then sometimes she has strange dreams that makes her realize it. If the guy likes her, then they will want to court, or date. That is love for a teenager. That is your morphing age." Melissa explained. I thought a second, then sensed something behind me. I turned around and saw a Harrier, a Falcon, a Hawk, a Bat, and a Belted Kingfisher on the window sill. "Aximili?" I asked the harrier. "Jake?!" Cassie said to the falcon. "Tobias!" Rachel said to the Hawk. "Brian!!" Brittany said to the Bat. "Zac," Becka started saying to the Belted Kingfisher. <We wanted to check up on all of you.> Tobias started. "Uh-oh, Jake you didn・t." Brittany said standing up slowly. "Jake!! No!!! Not again!!" Rachel said also standing up. "What??" Cassie and Becka asked. "Every year, there are boys that wreck the sleep over, I almost didn・t have it this year. Every time I have one, Jake comes with some guys to wreck it. Every time it・s wrecked a different way." Brittany said keeping her eyes on the morphing birds. "Yep, and this year, we want you to meet our little friend." Jake said signaling Brian. Brian levitated a Tupperware container up to Brittany・s room. He turned the liquid in the Tupperware back to it・s form of a small green amphibian. "Ribit ribit!!" Zac said as Brain threw the frog at the girls and I. "A frog!" Brittany said with happiness like a small child on a holiday. "It・s so cute!!" Cassie said taking it. "Look at it・s little eyes." Rachel said. "Strange." I said. ．It・s sort of weird and wrinkled." Melissa said poking it with her finger. "Here Becka. Look at the frog." Brittany said holding the frog out to Becka. "Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!" Becka screamed. There were footsteps coming up the stairs. Aximili quickly morphed human. "Becka, I didn・t mean to make you that mad." Zac said holding Becka in his arms while comforting her. "Ah-ha!! I finally caught you boys in the act." A frog!" Brittany・s mom said with her daughters same excitement and love for the animal. "They climbed through the window." Brittany said quickly before her mother asked. "Well they can go back out the door and leave you girls alone. March!" Brittany・s mother said carrying out the frog and marching behind the boys whom where going down stairs. "You okay Becka??" Rachel asked.
I had to leave Brittany・s house before twelve. Brittany told her mother that I had to go home. I woke up the next morning and morphed human. "Hello. Hellooooooooooooooooo." Aximili said in human morph. My fingers tingled. "Uhhh-- I think I posses feelings for you." I said quickly not very good with romance. Aximili turned around and looked at me. He pushed his lips to mine again but this time bent me down. I couldn・t breath again!!!! My arms were useless and my head slung back!! I couldn・t concentrate to morph!! I was falling off my two legs I was balanced on!! Help!!! I woke up in a deep sweat. I morphed human and Aximili walked in. He looked at me. "Noooooo!!!" I said raising my hands in front of my face. He looked at me puzzled. "Uhh-- I think I posses feelings for you." I said quickly, sure that this time is wasn・t a dream. "AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" he said before running out the barn. I woke up again in a deeper sweat. I was about to morph human but deiced not to. Aximili walked in as human. I didn・t say anything. He de-morphed and began to work on the device. He stopped and gazed at the floor for a few seconds. <Is something wrong Aximili??> I asked. <My trio of hearts burn for you.> Aximili said looking at me. <Uhhh> I started. <There are not any other Andalites for light-years. If we never make it off this planet, we will never meet other Andalites and marry.> he said. <My hearts burn for you also Aximili.> I said. <Will you be mine??> He asked kneeling on his legs. <There also isn・t a Holy Andalite for light years either.> I said. <But would you Sares??> he asked. <Yes Aximili.> I said after a long pause. He got up and walked over to me. He took my hands in his, then we touched tail blades. Then Austin walked in. He walked in and without stopping walked back out. <We could get a Holy Human to marry us.> I said. <I hear something on the roof.> Aximili said looking up with all of his eyes. There was something up there. Then there was the sound of breaking boards, followed by a loud crash and figures falling from the roof with some of the roof with them. It was Brittany and the other girls. "You two are going to get hitched!!!" Brittany said after the dust cleared and there was a big smile on her face. "Married!!" Becka said. "Husband and Andalite." Melissa said. "Romeo and Juliet." Rachel said. "Lovey dovey." Cassie said. I know inside that Aximili was blushing like I was. I was getting embarrassed. We dropped hands and stepped a few steps away. It was true that I was in love with Aximili. I said before, not many other Andalites were very friendly towards me, I was at my studies all the time.
<Andalites will unite today, as one. These two swear eternal love and loyalty with one another. They have only one surviving relative on the male・s side that will give the blessing of marriage.> The Holy Andalite said cueing my Aunt. <I, Halzania-Vergana-Judla of Sector 3587 of the Andalite Homeworld, give my approval and blessing towards these two. May their lives be happy, and their service to one another be un- measurable in greatness. May they have children to carry on the family name and insure honor.> my Aunt said. <Brother Andalite Jonathan, do wish to carry on in the merger between souls?? Do you vowel to honor and love you female??> the Holly Andalite asked like the tradition went. <I, Jonathan, do.> my father said. <Bride Human Amie, do you wish to love and serve your male until your days end?? Do you swear loyalty to him for the rest of your days??> the Holy Andalite asked. <I, Amy, do> My mother said in her Nothlit Andalite form. <Then by the power invested in me by Sector 3587 of the Andalite Homeworld, and by the Andalite Governmental officials, you are now Andalite & Female.> the Holy Andalite said finishing the tradition as my mother and father touched tails blades. The memory ended and focused on another thought. Who will marry Aximili and I?? It would be almost impossible to contact the Andalite Homeworld, unless we did so with the disc. But my friends are counting on us using the disc to call for help. Would it be to much to ask the Andalite Homeworld to come to Earth, save the planet, and marry Aximili and I?? I was laying down on the hay set out for me and just looking at the sky through the hole in the barn roof. Then a familiar figure entered the barn quietly. <Sares??> the voice asked. <Are you still awake??> <Aximili??> I asked rising to my hoofs. <Sares, are you sure that asking an Earthling to marry us in human form is wise?? My almanac states that you must have legal documents, birth certificates, DNA tests, and minors are not allowed to marry without parental approval.> Aximili said. <Aximili, I・m scared. I want to go home. I・m tired of fighting. I want to raise young ones. I want to life with you as my male husband. I love you.> I said taking his hands. <Sares, I feel the same. We will have to wait until we can contact the Andalites, save this planet, and return home. It would be impossible to contact the Andalite by using the instruments at the observatory again. Please try to understand.> Aximili said. <If we do leave here, you will live with your family to continue you cadet training, I will live with my Aunt and become a maiden.> I said. <What sector does your Aunt live in?? My parents live in 4296.> Aximili said. <She lives in sector 3587.> I said with a lump in my throght, so to speak. We were both silent for minuets standing there with our hands together, then Aximili raised his tail to touch mine. I looked into his main eyes with my main eyes, just to look in them. I didn・t see a cadet in training, I saw a Worrier Prince. If Aximili and did marry, and we did win the war here, and did return home, he would go off to fight in the name of his brother. To fight for the Homeworld, to die in battle. I let go of his hands, moved my tail and walked away. <Is something wrong??> he asked walking over to me. <Everything is!! If it wasn・t for Serow there wouldn・t a Yeerk invasion. You wouldn・t have to train to be a Worrier Prince, you wouldn・t die in battle!! We could live happy!!> I said. <Serow also made it possible for you and I to meet. We met here because our ship crashed. Serow may have done the wrong thing, but so has a relative of mine.> Aximili said thinking of Elfangor giving the power to morph to the Animorphs, and before that marring a Earthling. <My father married a human. Austin is really my brother sent here by the Great Ellimist. I・m not even full anything. You can find better Aximili, I don・t deserve you. I broke the law of Serow・s kindness by giving the power to the UltraMorphs, and no Andalite will forgive a female half breed.> I said moving away again. <Do you suppose, that your brother could marry us? But either way, I too have broke that law and confessed to the Consul that I gave the Animorphs morphing power.> he said as if he hadn・t listened to anything. <I・m not going to marry you Aximili!! Human・s and Andalites shouldn・t marry and you deserve better than I!> I yelled to him. He looked hurt. Then reveled something he had left at the door. A package of gummy bears of all assorted colors. He gave them to me and walked out the door. I morphed human once he left, and cried as humans do. Chapter 4 For many days, Aximili and I didn・t speak. We worked on the device in silence, and looked at the other when we thought the other wasn・t looking. I couldn・t tell if he was angry or heart broken. I refused him because I knew that he did deserve better. I loved him and still love him, but couldn・t to make him unhappy. It is better to help others that worry about your own self greed. Austin approached me two days later after I woke up. "Is something wrong?" he asked. <Nothing. Why would you ask??> I lied but managed to act casual. "You seem like something is bothering you. Today we are going to the Yeerk pool to pick up the other parts we need for the device. James and Erek gave us directions for where they are located. We・re taking Tom and Melissa with us. I think we・re running out of battle morphs. Tom is going to be a Jaguar and Melissa a coyote. We need you and Aximili to come along. We・re all going to meet up at Cassie・s in a hour." he said bringing in some more hay. Brittany, Brian, Austin, and Tobias all brought small Tupperware seal tight containers in their pockets. That was to transport the parts we needed in liquid form. Before we went into McDonalds Cassie and Jake looked at one another. Tobias and Rachel smiled at one another. Brittany and Brian mouthed out the words ．Let・s do it.・ Zac and Becka touched hands. I looked at Aximili and saw him staring at me. I was about to say something to him when Jake spoke. "Okay, everyone is in human morph. You know the drill. Get in and get out. Brian Tom are with the Animorphs. Melissa is with the UltraMorphs. Everyone else in on the team they stared out on. Good-luck." Jake said before entering the door with the Animorphs. The UltraMorphs were going to enter 5 minuets after the Animorphs. The girls talked and the boys thought. I looked up into the blue sky and the one yellow sun, loosed in thoughts of home and Aximili. Could Aximili and I really have a future?? Just then a strange sound caught me off guard. Beep Beep Beep Beep went the watch that Brittany was wearing. It was set to go off at the time we needed to go into the McDonalds. Each one of us said our line, "I would like a Happy-Meal with extra Happy." and every time the person behind the counter would say her line. "Back there and I・m sure you・ll find it." the woman said like a normal person. We opened the refrigerator that led down to the Yeerk pool. We all walked down the long path of steps that went down to the pool of screams of re-infestation. As we walked, I de-morphed into Andalite. Everyone else morphed their battle morphs except Brittany and Austin. They were going to find the parts while the others created a diversion. In the other group, Brian and Tobias were going to find the parts while the others in that group created a diversion also. All of us in battle-morph leaped down the last of the stairs and called attention to ourselves. Hork Bajir saw us and stopped what they were doing. Human Controllers picked up Dracon Beams and ragged at us. Austin and Brittany slipped by to get the parts on their list. My tail struck the flesh of Hork Bajir, and quickly sliced through all in the tail・s path that was inside the Hork Bajir. Including organs, bones, veins, and blood quickly gushing out. This movement happened swiftly because of the sharpness of the Tail blade. Once a Hork Bajir was cut in two, the blade struck another victim. I tried to knock out the human controllers with the flat part of my blade. Sometimes though, my tail might have accidentally aimed at the Dracon in a human controller・s hand and took of the hand, leaving the human deformed and screaming in pain. The tail didn・t worry about blood drying on the blade. It knew what it was doing and did if swiftly. We pushed on through the fight and edged farther into the pool. I slapped a human into a computer and stood back to watch the human fry and electricity run in and out of the human. It reminded me of a movie on TV that showed a skeleton. That was the human, flashing quickly like human lighting systems on holidays. The tail was the main weapon of a Andalite. Every other morph either didn・t have a tail, the tail didn・t have a blade, or the morph was to small to worry about offense of any kind. We spotted the Animorphs running up to us and they engaged in the fight as well. Our strength doubled as they fought with us. The others suffered bad wounds and cuts. I was fighting highly and very well until I was shot in the back and then cut in the arm. My green blood slung everywhere as other・s red blood did also. I suffered many more cuts as more controllers of Hork Bajir and Homo Sapeins focused on attacking ones of us in Andalite form. Just then two male Andalite lept through the air and landed beside us. Tobias and Austin in their Andalite morphs. I looked around at the group. A lion, a tiger, a wolf, a Hork Bajir, a Gorilla, a Grizzly Bear, a Panda Bear, a Jagwire, a Coyote, and three Andalites. Wait, just three Andalites?? There was Tobias, Austin, me and...... where was Aximili?? I looked around and fought my way through the crowd of controllers, serching for Aximili. I went to the place that the Animorphs had been fighting, and saw Aximili on a personal fight with Visser Three. Chapter 5 They were both in Andalite form. They were circling each other while planing their attack. <Andalite Cadet, little brother of Elfangor.> Visser Three・s voice roared. <Yeerk high Commander Visser Three.> Aximili said. <Andalite Bandit.> Visser Three boomed. <Yeerk slime.> Aximili said before they both jumped into combat against one another. Visser Three had fought too many fights and his host was to well trained for Aximili to compete against. I had to do something but I couldn・t interfere in a fight of revenge. It was a personal fight and winner would take all. Aximili got a few good swipes of his tail and cut Visser Three a few times. Visser Three wouldn・t except defeat or the loss of any of his blood. He slashed Aximili・s arm, a deep blood pouring wound formed. <Aximili!!> I called out. Visser Three turned his head to see me, and Aximili slashed him while he was off guard. <Leave Sares, this is my fight!> Aximili said. <Everyone has a bone to pick with that bad ass Bastard.> Marco said walking with all the other Animorph and UltraMorphs. <Get him!!> Rachel commanded as everyone attacked Visser Three. Even Aximili was attacking him. I sliced and diced as best as I could. Visser Three was dying fast. Then a horrid of Hork Bajir with Dracon Beams attacked us. Visser Three escaped again and we all barely escaped with our lives. We went out a new way Brian was showing us. Brian, Brittany, Austin, and Tobias were already outside with the parts in the containers.
<Sares, I love you.> Aximili solemnly said to break the silence. I looked up at him with a deep pain in my heart. <Aximili, I----I-------> I began. <I can・t say I do! There isn・t a way we could ever get married. We・re to young. Yes, I do love you, but laws on this planet just won・t permit it. There aren・t any Andalites here that could marry us either.> I said wanting to cry. "Umm we could all go to Las Vegas. All you need is about 20 bucks and a good car. No papers to sign no blood tests. Plus you get a live performance of an Elvis impersonator." Austin said. <Where is this place?? When can we leave??> Aximili. "Every food imaginable. Chinese, Cinnibuns, Gummy Bears. There are tubes of glowing glass full of gas called neon. Plus you can explore every topic of human culture. Think about it, salt and grease food. Cotton blankets in every hotel room." Austin said. <Salt and greaseeeee??> I said gaining hope for Aximili and I. <Call everyone, I think we should go. If you still want to marry me Sares.> <Yes!!> I said wanting to smile a big ivory teeth smile. Chapter 6 All Earth Savers were brought back to Austin・s barn to discuss the plan. Aximili and I were in human morph. "Aximili and I are getting married." I said to everyone. There was a loud sound of Yays and clapping. Girls were saying how cute we both looked and the boys where saying ．You want a party??・. "Wait!! Where will to illegal aliens get married here??" Jake said over top of everyone. "Las Vegas!!"
