Railsplitters

Western Swing Band

The Railsplitters are a Western Swing Band, based in York. Here are some photos from an evening at the Museum for Popular Music in Sheffield (August 2000):

Roger's comment: The pictures are a bit unusual for me, the lighting was so awful I asked the band if I could take some pictures with a flash (which I don't like doing- it's just something else to go wrong). The film was XP2 , processed C41 in standard colour lab,and although I've scanned them in from the prints as black and white the prints came back with a sepia tone- which quite suited the subject and gave them a 1940's atmosphere. Just that the scanner I was using at the time wasn't very good on colour settings. If I can find the time (laughter) I might try and scan a few in with sepia toning.
