Make up Tips
Foundation Foundation or the base is the first step. It is usually a creamy water based liquid. Try to find a color that is close to your own color. Apply starting at the nose and do the whole face and blend towards the hair lines and neck. |
Fullest Coverage
Pancake or stick makeup is great for applying over your regular foundation on areas that need extra coverage, such as age spots or scars and sometimes that annoying shadow that won't go away. It can also double as a concealer.

Concealer
Concealer is best used around the eyes where the skin is thinner and tends to appear darker. Use sparingly to make eyes look more rested and to even out your skin.
|
Blush The best blush colors are pink, rose, apricot, and peach. An easy way to find out the color for you is to match it to your lip color. Use it to give subtle enhancements to the cheekbones. Using blush lightly down the sides of the nose can reduce a large nose or slim a broad nose. |
Eyeliner I use pencil eyeliner. I sharpen the point then heat a little with a cigarette lighter so it goes on easier. Pull the lid skin taught and starting at the inner eye, glide the pencil smoothly at the upper lid, getting as close to the lashes as possible Do the same on the lower lid. |
Mascara
To get mascara all the way down to the roots, place a finger on your eyebrow and pull up, Then holding the wand horizontally start at the roots of the lash and roll the wand slightly as you move along the lashes. Give lashes a brush thru when dry to remove any clumps. repeat for the lower lashes. |
Lipstick Avoid very dark lipsticks, as they can make your lips appear much thinner. Softer, more natural shades give the illusion of fuller, softer lips. |
Eyebrows
Using hairspray or gel, applied with an eyebrow brush or comb, brush eyebrows upwards towards the hairline. This will hold them in place and open the eye area. |
