Nephil Gambit hints In the first town, get the cone key from the commander's office and outfit the party the best you can. You'll need to fight your way to flee the town. Look for a supply bunker southeast - a lot of good, basic items there. In cavern passage east of the starting town, you'll need to create a distraction for the Sliths - perhaps an alarm. You'll soon meet some other humans, you'll have to join with them to leave the caverns. At Thunder Rock, take that strange rod. Then beat feet it to Myldres. Explore the town and wait for a commotion in the square. There are 3 key people: 1. The Order Mage in the Royal Quarters (in Myldres) to translate the strange rod. The Milestone Casino is next. Do some betting to get extra gold. Ask the owner that name, after completing his task, follow his directions south and a little east. Talk to the provider of that strange rod, (mention Thunder Rock) then visit the Archives at Feline Frontier (if you can't get in, someone in an outside encounter near the fortress has the key, get it). Now search everything (get a special piece of paper). 2. From talking with Stanza in the first Fort, talk to Mina in the Royal Quarters - mention Stanza - (then find the Nobles in the bar - mention Mina) in Myldres. You will be doing some fighting, after that be sure to get the reward coming to you (nice boots). Talk to the Slith ambassador in his quarters (southern part of the caves below Myldres). He will send you south to the Long Stairs. Time to visit some Sliths and the leader. Important, when you leave, search around your arrival point for something important (what's behind that very locked door? get a special piece of clothing). 2a. Find Mina and Oteral(sp?) in the Royal Quarters above Myrles, they have another task (you get a nice scimitar and return a favor). 3. Wait for a telepathic message and visit Lady Fray in the Flickering Keep in the Shadowlands, approach someone in the hallway, then mention Karo to the Lady. Remember to sleep with all equipment laying on the floor (drop everything!). You have two choices here, if you party size is 4 or fewer PCs - flee, if 5 or more then help (if you flee, you have less information to do some future acts for this task). Off to rescue someone (after talking to a guy with 2 dogs in Myldres to get a key). Be well prepared before leaving on your journey west ward (you'll need 400 gold). 4. Wait for a message (telepathic) from Commander Groul (or do sort of a reverse of task 1) for the scenario end fight and Myrles ending. Note: Game is unwinnble (i.e. no complete victory) if you get a message from Commander Groul to visit him (after the Sliths start invading), before going down the Long Stairs to the Slith lands (the party canot finish task 2).
