Chiefs and Chiefettes:
-- If you haven't yet made plans, don't forget Woodstock Elementary School Reunion Day on Saturday, June 2! You can tour those tiny halls one last time before the 46-year-old building is torn down to make way for a new school. Take home a memento of the place where you learned how to line up and shut up. There will be a picnic from and general festivities from 11 to 3 in the playground area, and the building will be open for self-touring from 2 to 3. All Woodchucks, and even others from KHS, are encouraged and welcome. For more information, contact Debbie Kight Yancey at (757) 340-1557 or rdyancey@bellatlantic.net.
-- One person who had planned to attend the 30-Year Reunion was Cindy Domme Kittrell. Her father-in-law had a heart attack that week, so she stayed with him. Sadly, he passed away soon after. Then, in February, Cindy lost her 11-year-old daughter from complications of a heart transplant. Please include Cindy in your prayers.
-- Gina Ledermann has been found! She had been on our "In Memorium" list since the 20-Year Reunion in 1990, because word somehow came to the Reunion Committee that she had died in a car accident soon after graduation. Gina, however, is alive and well in Connecticut. She reports: "I have two children and am happily married. Hillary is 15 and Evan is 13. I am working as a clinical research coordinator with a background in nursing." Gina spotted our presence on an alumni web site and sent an e-mail message saying she was sorry to miss the reunion.
-- Everyone who paid for the Memory Book should have received one by now. If you haven't, please let us know. If you did not order one, you can check out the pictures at the KHS_70 web site at www.geocities.com/khs_70.
-- We have made a few other updates -- finally -- to the KHS_70 web site. Included are a brief narrative of the Reunion's Friday night events, stories from the Treaty, and an address list. With your help, we intend to keep the address list current.
Stay in touch.

WASSUUP?
The KHS Class of 1970's 30-Year Reunion is just one month away. The Reunion Committee is putting finishing touches on the event of the decade -- of the century! There are still some of you out there who have not RSVPed to the engraved invitation. You know who you are. Warren, Deb, Dale and Mike, Karen. And Beth: Switzerland is a lame excuse for not being here.
Don't worry about sending it in late. As long as it gets here no later than you do.
Undecided? Even if you're paid up? Check to see who is coming so far, at http://www.geocities.com/khs_70/attendees.html. If you've lost your form, print out a new one at
http://www.geocities.com/khs_70/Questionnaire.html. We have a memorial page (http://www.geocities.com/khs_70/rip.html) and the 1990 Treaty, with text, at http://www.geocities.com/khs_70/Treaty/treaty1.html.
For Friday night, we will be given a VIP tour of our alma mater before the football game. After the game, we'll hang out at the Clarion Hotel bar. We also are planning a class gift to the school, which may be unveiled that night.
The committee visited the Saturday venue and were impressed. It's a split-level ballroom with couches. The committee will meet again this Sunday at 2 p.m. at Mike Teagle's house to try to remember if we have forgotten anything.
Thinking ahead, we intend to maintain our web site after the Reunion. It can be a gathering point of what's going on with everyone.
See you soon.
Chiefly yours,
the Reunion Committee
