animated presentation of the words "Never Again!"

To the Parents and Families in the Royal Liverpool Children's Litigation

The University of Liverpool would wish to say how sorry it is for then distress caused to so many people by the events of the past and we express our deepest sorrow to all of those affected. This reflects genuinely held feelings of deep regret and we sincerely welcome the opportunity to communicate directly to the parents involved in the Royal Liverpool Children's Litigation.

We would wish to reassure parents that we will continue to work very closely with the relevant hospitals and authorities in addressing the events of the past and in ensuring that they are not repeated in the future.

The University is sorry for distress and pain caused to families by what has occurred.

Professor J Drummond Bone, Vice-Chancellor, 27 February 2003
