Response to the Crown Prosecution Service Decision


PITY II Chair, Alice ProctorPity II is appalled at the decision made by the Crown Prosecution Service and deeply regrets the timing of the release of this news; believing that Christmas is a difficult enough time for families as it is without having the news of this decision being added.

Pity II Chair, Alice Proctor, has contacted both the Crown Prosecution Service and the General Medical Council for any further news. PITY II does not expect to receive any relevant response(s) until after the New Year. Needless to say, PITY II will notify families of any further news/developments as and when received.

 

PITY II (Parents who have Interred Their Young Twice) is the parents' support group set up in the wake of the organ retention scandal
at Alder Hey Hospital (Liverpool, UK). It aims to provide self help support and advice to affected families.
