There is some fund-raising going on - what is it for? It is important to have well managed finances, and the group has a bank account, and a very able treasurer, Jan Robinson. PITY II is also planning to apply for charitable status. This is quite a complicated procedure and we have to have a special meeting of the group to agree the constitution. When the group has achieved its objectives, any money that is left will be donated to a children's charity. Which one will be decided at the time, and all group members will be asked to vote on it. PITY II already has £563 which was raised by a collection, at our last meeting, and a donation of £100 from 'Women of the Waterfront'. If anyone has arranged any fund raising events, or is planning to do so, please let one of the committee know and we will do our best to publicise it through the newsletter and, of course, our co-ordinator network. Every penny is gratefully accepted.
