Sharp Pocket Computers



In addition to the PC1500A, Sharp were selling four other pocket computers in 1985:


Sharp PC1251

The PC1251 cost £80.
Extended BASIC, 24 KB of ROM and 4.2 KB of RAM.
Size 135 x 70 x 10mm, weight 115g.
1 line x 24 character display.
Shown with optional CE-125 micro cassette and printer unit.




Sharp PC1260

The PC1260 cost £100.
An improved version of the PC1251.
40 KB of ROM and 4.4 KB of RAM.
Size 135 x 70 x 10mm, weight 115g.
2 line x 24 character display.




Sharp PC1350

The PC1350 cost £129.
Extended BASIC in 40 KB of ROM, and 5 KB of RAM.
Size 182 x 72 x 16mm, weight 190g.
Main feature was a 4 line x 24 character display, which could also produce 150 x 32 pixel graphics.




Sharp PC1401

The PC1401 was launched in 1984 and cost £80.
Single-key entry of BASIC commands, 40 KB of ROM and 4.2 KB of RAM, Sharp SC61860A microprocessor, beeper.
Size 170 x 72 x 10mm, weight 150g.
The PC1401 could be used as a scientific calculator with 59 built in functions, using the keys at the upper right of the keyboard.
Display was limited to one line of just 16 characters.
