Welcome to Pebworth Church Bell website
Pebworth lies mid-way between Evesham, Worcs, and Stratford-on-Avon,
Warks. It is in Worcestershire (but only just); it has
a Warwickshire post-code; and it lies within Gloucester
Diocese. Luckily, the bells of St Peter’s Church
are not that mixed up. Although there have been three augmentations
in 15 years, the ring of 10 bells match very well indeed.

St Peter's Church, Pebworth, Worcestershire,
10 bells, 11-3-9 in F#
|
It is unusual to find a ring of 10 in a small village
out in very rural countryside. This is due in great part
to an enthusiastic local band, who have undertaken much
of the work of the augmentations to 8 and then to 10
themselves. The bells go well and are regularly rung
to peals and quarter peals.
Because the bells are comparatively light and easy-going,
they offer excellent training facilities. Each bell is
fitted with a simulator sensor and 'silent' practices
are possible. There is also a closed-circuit television
camera in the belfry, by which it is possible to view
on the
monitor
in the ringing room, the motion of the bells in real
time.
