Hmmm... An ever-changing myriad of
styles ranging from the sublime to the bleeding obvious. World changing lyrics
such as "take me down to the chip shop, I want to buy some shoes" are
the order of the day. Very serious about not being all together serious?
Started as a duo Autumn 1999 and has fluctuated between 3 and 6
members since. Bubblegum is a word often used by the band, for any reason at
all. Just a nice word to say isn't it? Bubblegum. Go on, you say it. Bubblegum.
Their highlight has been opening a concert for BBC music live
week in front of 250 people, in their home town of Llanelli, without falling of
the stage or starting any fires or anything. Well, no big fires at least. The
local press stated after the concert that the band have a "great
name". I kept the press cutting.
Well know for their song, "the
fish song", which is played whenever two or more Welshmen are
drunk/stoned near an acoustic guitar.
Johnny Wishbone & the Voodoo Starfish are the future of
music or possibly the past but definitely not the present. It's all to do with
beta particles or something, I wasn't really concentrating, sorry. Anyways,
