Although Eric Malins is said to have been very unimpressed With this little Steam roller it is In fact a very well made Iconic toy steam engine and a part of Mamods history.

The Mastrand steam Roller was the Inspiration for the
Mamod SR1 (Steam Roller)
When Eric Malins was Browsing the Gamages Of London toy Catalogue in the late 1950's he came across An advert for the Mastrand steam roller
And ordered one this was then used as
A model for the Mamod steam roller.
