Our aims are to secure the long term future of the woods and make it an ecologically and financially sustainable woodland.
The Friends have been actively involved in:
- The planning process, present and future, including the minerals plan
- Getting the Woods confirmed as as SBI Grade 1
- Ancient woodland status
- Getting involvement from the Forestry Commission
- Lichfield District Council Biodiversity Strategy
- Public access to Wood (statutory and non statutory rights of way)
- Long term management of the Wood
- Funding possibilies
