Sadly Ralph died in November 2000. Most of the travel logs were written when Ralph was alive. The first time we went to Kenya was in 1986 and I fell hopelessly in love with the country. We have been back numerous times as well as to other places in Africa, but Kenya keeps pulling me back again and again. If I haven't seen an elephant for a couple of years I get very elephant deficient. As you click on the pictures of the animals on this page you will discover the African countries we have visited. And our adventures and experiences whilst travelling. My interest are: Hospital driving; I have been driving people to local hospitals for over twenty years. We have very few facilities as regards to public transport. This makes it very difficult, if not impossible, for people to be able to get to their appointments if they don't have a car. Computers; I enjoy exploring this hobby and have both taken City and Guilds in Computers and Computing, and in Desk Top Publishing; it looks as if I should now take a course in html ! I enjoy fishing, but am only a fine weather fisherman. I also collect stamps. I am a member of the W.I. and have served on the committee for several years. My main interest, locally, is a lecture group of which I am chairman. Last year I took a group of 25 members to Egypt on a "field trip." January 2001 saw me taking a group of 26 members to China. Next year, 2002 I will be taking a group to Russia. As far as myr other hobbies are concerned, mine is photography and I am exploring using my digital camera. In my spare time I enjoy my grandchildren whose ages range from 21 years old to twins of 1 year old. I have a chalet in Norfolk, which I keep mainly for the family and close friends to take their children for holidays.
