Dates: 1st July – 19th July 2005
This team will fly to Durban on the east coast of South Africa and from there travel further south to Portshepstone to Oribi Bible camp where they will be staying for the duration of their visit. The camp was set up for children from the many townships to come and enjoy a much treasured holiday in a beautiful African setting.
South Africa has not only been significantly affected by AIDS but in recent years drought has hit this area hard. As a result the campsite has been neglected and requires lots of re-vamping which will be a large part of the team’s work.
The team will also be doing some painting at the local hospital working with AIDS kids as well as spending some time with the kids caring for them in practical ways.
We hope to use this great opportunity to make an impact and experience a magnificent country.
