What is a SIM-game kennel?
A SIM-game kennel is an internet site that works roughly like a homepage, but holds a virtual kennel. SIM-game kennels are never real kennels, but simply imagined, game kennels that work like real kennel, but only in the internet.

How does breeding happen?
Each kennel targets to breed beautiful, good natured dogs that are as close to their breed standards as possible. Breeders try to choose the best bitches and dogs for mating, to get to their target. However, as everything happens virtually, the characteristics of the puppies born are always chosen and written by the owner, and therefore can be planned beforehand. The outlooks of the dogs are shown on the pictures found on the dogs's pages, and they tell a lot about the dog.

How are puppies born and bought?
Puppies are not literarily born, but once the breeder thinks it is time for the puppies to enter our world, they build a site for all of them together, holding all the information needed about them, and they make an announcement about the born litter. Other breeders/dog owners who want to buy a puppy then contact the breeder and kindly ask if they may take one of the puppies. When everything is decided and solved, the buyer then makes a new site for the puppy, just like all the other dogs' pages, and then the dog is his/hers. If the breeder, however, feels that the puppy has not been treated properly or the buyer hasn't built a site for the puppy, the breeder has always the right to take the puppy back and sell it again.
As most of the breeders in SIM-game kennels do not play the game for so many years or they suddenly realise they have far to many dogs and they cannot keep all of them, there are usually as many adult dogs being sold as there are puppies.

Are there any shows or other activities for SIM-game dogs?
Yes, more then one could imagine. We have almost all of the activities in the internet that exist in real life. Probably most importantly there are always shows, and that's where we need to have photos for the dogs. The better the dog looks on the photo comparing to the breed standard, the better the dog will do in the show ring. Our well trained "professional" judges judge the dogs just like they do in real, but of course we don't count their movements and rarely take note of their temperament, etc. We use the Finnish Kennel Club's show rules, and therefore:
ERI = excellent
EH = very good
H = good
T = satisfactory
HYL = disqualified
EVA = cannot be judged
SERT = sertificate
CACIB = international sertificate
ROP = best of breed
VSP = best of opposite sex
RYP = group
All the other activities such as obedience, agility and lure coursing and judged randomly.
All of my dogs's show calendars are found under the link 'kalenterit' on their own pages. Please note that "näyttely" = show, "toko" = obedience, "rata- and maastojuoksu" = lure coursing.
