Here are four photos from the US Indoor Team Selection Contest at MCAS Santa Anna in September, 1997.
Steve Brown, the current World Champion, was contest director. As the reigning World Champion, he represented himself at the Championships in in 1998.
Jim Richmond, shown in the pictures, placed first. He has been the World Champion seven times so far.
