Summary : A little idea on how it could end.

The night is cold. But she doesn’t feel it. Tonight, she feels good. She feels…free. Two days ago, her former Watcher has come all the way from England with the news. As she has reached the age of twenty-five without being killed - or at least not anymore- the council has decided it was time for her to get some much-deserved rest. She’s not the Slayer anymore. She is retired. Another girl has been called to bear the weight of the world on her shoulders. And it’s a premiere. All other Slayers before -including her- had been called because the previous one was dead. This time is different. Because she is different. Somehow, she feels like she’s gonna miss it sometimes. After all, she has been the Slayer for almost ten years. It has been a part of her. There has been a time she thought she was more the Slayer than a girl. Her true nature. But she know her true nature is not to fight and kill. And now all that is over. No more demons, apocalypses or vampires. " Slayer ?" She smiles. Well…almost no vampires. He comes behind her and embraces her. " You’re not supposed to call me like that anymore," she says softly. " Right. It will take time to get used to it. Old habits…Why are you staying outside ? It’s cold." " How do you know ?" she asks with a smile. " Because of the goose bumps on your arms" he answers with a smirk, gently stroking them. She laughs slightly and leans into him. She can feel his mouth on a very sensitive spot on her neck. She shivers. " See ? You’re trembling." " But not because of the cold." She turns to him, plunging in his deep blue eyes. The light of the moon above them seems to illuminate his white head. " I’m going to bed," he says with a hoarse voice full of promises. "Care to join me ?" " I’ll be there in a few minutes." He nods, caresses her cheek with his knuckles and kisses her tenderly before going back into the house. He understands she needs to stay alone for a moment. He always understands everything. That’s why he is perfect for her. Her perfect match. Of course, he’s still a vampire. Which stays an issue. But they will find a way. They will sort it out. And it’s not something she hopes for. Deep inside her heart, she just knows it. FIN
