I dont know if all of you know the old skylabcommerce mixtapeclub, but this one works pretty the same. There are two reasons why we planned doing an european club: (1.) first of all the american club doesn`t exist anymore and above that (2.) it has always been a great risk to send mixtapes from europe to the states cause they can get lost easily no matter that the postage rates are damn expensive at the same time.

Therefore we plan on doing this for ourselves - to get the whole thing started over here. We did this small site to inform you about the things you need to know! Nothing more and nothing less, because there are too many high glossy so called independent sites and to be true to have less work instead of programming a site that will please web nerds, but cause our hair turn grey. Tapetrading has something to do with mental activity instead of passive media consumption...if you are of a different opinion - fuck off!

As said above tapetrading is able to eliminate passive behaviour. you have to choose yourself how your tape will look, which bands you will put on it! In regard to taping the tape you might go through you record collection and find maybe records you even forgot. you are able to create real concept tapes that work with literature or design...feel free to do whatever you want. And to get a tape with bands you don`t know is like a small adventure.

To keep the whole thing going without any problems please read the basics for some formal information. This is to reduce the whole work to a minimum and at the same time satisfy everyone.
