The villa in Montauroux (Var) is situated 20 km as the crow flies north of Saint Raphaël on the French Mediterranean coast, only 5 min. by foot to the village center, ontop of a hill (300 m) with a wonderful panoramic view of the old provençal villages Montauroux and Callian, in the enchanting landscape of the Estérel mountains, surrounded by unspoiled nature between the foothills of the Alps, the Mediterranean and the gorges of the Siagne. |

| The village The massive steeple dominates the ancient village of Montauroux with its narrow lanes and its houses dating back to the 17th and 18th Centuries. Built on a hilltop the village had a certain strategic importance in the Mediaeval times, to which still today the remains of the ancient castle bear testimony. Much visited tourist attractions are: the lake of Saint Cassien, the gorges of the Haute-Siagne, the bamboo forest and the other mountain villages. |

The densely wooded region in the hinterland of the Côte d'Azur has kept its peacefull and original life in its provençal mountain villages far from the inrush of tourists.
