I just got me this little moped scooter for no reasons at all, just because I like its looks, it's so odd. As a moped it is cheap to have. As a DDR-moped it is a bit faster than regular (those are allowed to go 60 km/h and not just 40 km/h), fast enough for city commuting. It seems that there are some technically beautiful details on this bike (in a way that follows the "keep it simple" credo), but I have to admit: I don't know much about them "swallows". According to the previous owner it has a S50 motor in it, whatever, it runs great.
The decision to really look for one fell when visiting the Simson museum in Suhl.
