I had this nice touring machine for two seasons, 1989 and 1990 (and 26000 km): it feels a
bit soft and tends to hop in fast bumpy corners. I had some enginge problems, most likely
caused by bad braking in by the previous owner. After boring out the cylinders and putting
in new pistons it ran fine, though. I took this one to Norway, to
Spain (and even into Africa), to Greece and Turkey. I sold it because I decided to keep
the XT500 instead. If you don't care much about a sporty riding
style, rather enjoy comfort and maybe travel two up, this makes a good choice. (I did
escpecially appreciate its drive shaft.)
