1. Question 1: Who did steve jobs think was the enemy and who was the real enemy? Answer to question 1: In the movie Steve Jobs assumed and thought that IBM was the enemy but it really was Bill Gates. Steve gates was so obessed wiht trying to get rid of them , he was so focued on them and tuning out everything else ignoring who the real enemy was. Specific Evidence from the film: In the film we see that steve jobs and bill gates was in great competition with each other but since Steve Jobs was so worried about IMB he didnt take the oppourtunity in realizing that. So Bill Gates being the smarter competitor decided to Join Steve and his company apple ,in which would allow him to get close enough to steal Steve's new ideas for his computer and instead put his name on it and label him slef as the founder. In the movie when steve jobs is presenting his new computer and introduces billl gates we see the software that bill gates came up with, in which was microsoft which is also when steve jobs realizes that the whole time bill was using him to market his own product/service through installing them on all of steves jobs computers.

2. Question 2: At the begining of the film, Steve Jobs thanks Bill Gates for "standing with us", Why? Answer to question 2: At the begining of the movie we see Steve Jobs Speaking at a conference meeting. We also see in the background Bill Gates on a wide screen who is virtually present throught a web cam of some sort and then, in which Steve Jobs turns around and thanks him (Bill Gates) for standing with us meaning he is refering to as the era of competition being over. Specific Evidence form the film: throught the film Steve Jobs and Bill gates are in competition with each other but Steve jobs was so worried about IBM he forgot about Bill Gates. Towards the ending of the movie Steve Jobs gets fired adn then gets rehired a few months later by Bill Gates and they become good friends. So when he says to Bill Gates thank you for "standing with us" he is thanking Bill Gates for ending the era of competition betwenn the two of them.

3. Question 3: Who is Captain Crunch, what did he discover, and what was the frequency in Hertz of the device he used? Answer to question 3: The real Captain Crunch is John T Draper who in the movie attended the Univerity OF Berkley in was where he ended up meeting Steve Wozniack. John T Draper was the person who discovere the Blue Box and its functions. This device the blue box had a frequency of 2600 Hertz. The idea came to him when one day his blind friend Joe Engressia told him about a whistle that came in the Cap'n Crunch boxes could emit a tone at precisely 2600 hertz,the same frequency that was used by AT&T long lines. This is what disconnect one end of the trunk, allowing the still connected side to enter an operator mode. inspired Draper to build blue boxes- (electronic devices capable of reproducing other tones used by the phone company).

4. Question 4: Steve Jobs considere himslef to be spiritually enlightened. Considering his portrayal in the film, is that true? Answer to question 4: Yes i believe that this statement is true. Throught the movie Steve would meditate and there was one particular sceen were he is asked "how could you possible just eat fruits, and he replies that fruits are nothing but natural anu pure. He seemd to relate things ot being pure and natural alot throguth the movie. But there was still some parts of the movie that makde me think hard about this question because he would be acting very outragous and agressively and being some who is enlightened he should of taken care of all his responsibilites which included his family wich he didn do until the end of the movie.

5. Question 5: Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak built "Blue Boxes". What is a "Blue Box" and how did making and selling "Blue Boxes" contravene Steve Jobs' views about intellectual property theft? Answer to question 5: A " Blue Box" is a electronic device capable of reproducing other tones used by the phone company. A Blue Box use a 2600hz tone to size control of telephone switches that use in-band signaling. It allows The caller to access special switch functions, with the usual purpose of making free long distance phone calls, using the tones provided by the Blue Box.

6. Question 6: Bill Gates quit Harvard before finishing his undergraduate degree in order to pursue his computer business but he did not know if he would be successful - he gambled. What in his personal history prepared him to be a gambler? Answer to question 6: Throught his life (College life) Bill used to gamble a lot, he alwasy played poker and card games. From the movie we see many times were he and his friend are gambling , playing cards around the table. Poker is a game that requires a lot of thinking and risk taking so because he played this alot he was always making assumptions and taking risk , so because of that it contributed to him in building his personalty around gambling.

7. Question 7: What was it about the Microsoft deal with IBM that led to Microsoft's phenomenol success?7: Answer to question 7: Dos was the reason that lead to the Microsoft deal with IBM that led to microsofts phenonemol success. Dos stands for a Disk Operating System, in which is a command line user interface that was first introduced in 1981 to IBM computers. IBM WAS in need for Dos and the many funcitons that it could do to help the business grow, so in the movie Bill Gates and his partners of microsoft are attending a meeting with IBM in which they reveal that they can fill their need and provid them with dos. But before they made the deal they insisted on having some of their demands meet in wich lead to their success and obtaing some portion of ownership of/within IBM.

8. Question 8: Where did Apple get the ideas for the Lisa and Macintosh computers and was the use of those ideas ethical? Answer to question 8: Steve Jobs and Apple got their ideas to name two of teir computers lisa and Macintosh form his daughter. When steve jobs found out the name that his girlfriend was goin to name their daughter he disapproved. He did like it. So in the movie we see him drive over to the house were his girlfriend was staying and named his daughter lisa.

9. Question 9: Who would you rather work for: Bill Gates or Steve Jobs? Answer to question 9: I would rather work for Bill Gates.Why beacuse he always kept his cool and played his cards right. Bill Gates was always thinking ahead of everyone else , in which placed him in a position a ahead of everyone. He had a vision and followed right throguht with it and never gave up. Plus steve jobs seemed to always be yelling or takin his anger out on his employees. Even thought people who worked for steve Jobs had great probubally great benefits the amount of things they had to put up with i could not of done it. The people who worked with and for bill gates did not have the same amount of benefits as those of apples people but they were treated all on the same level and in the end ended up at the on the same page they all became rich, so it was all worth it. so thats why i would rather work for Bill Gates because of the fact that i know im would be struggleing to get by now but in the end it will all pay off.

10. Question 10: What did you find interesting in the film PIRATES OF SILICON VALLEY Answer to question 10: The thing that i found interesing about the movie was that after all the competition and the fact that bill gates was stealing from Steve Jobs they became good friends in the end. Someone like myself would like 4 times before even thinking about forgiving a person who did all that to me. the thing that also interested me was the fact that throguht the whole movie Billl Gates was calm and never worried about anything you always had a solution or way of fixing\ solving things.
