Seriously, I think a lot of Mike's points are true of any used car purchase, not
specifically Saturn. (Though I'm not sure that most dealers do such a thorough
reconditioning as Mike says that Saturn does.)
As a Saturn owner with no other connection to Saturn Corp etc,
I would at least recommend that you go to a Saturn dealer and
look around, for the experience if nothing more! You'll be
amazed at how they treat you. Aside from that though, you might also ask them if you could pay them to inspect a Saturn that you were interested in buying from someone else. I'll bet they would be willing. Again, this is pretty standard advice for any brand, though I would not ask the dealer to do it for anything besides a Saturn. (I take that back...my local Honda dealer is very good, too. But I would not recommend the practice to the world in general for any car other than Saturn!) Good luck! Burns
