	WinCron is a program scheduler and application controller. You can have it run a program at the same time each day, or every hour, or only on weekends etc. Using WinCron you can send keyboard commands to applications that are running in order to control the application. It is very flexible. WinCron is fully Year2000 compliant

Over 40 Internal commands to control program functions, display messages etc.
Over 25 Internal variables allow passing of date/time/count etc to commandline.

10 Timers (count up or down) for task synchronization.
Play Media files (WAV, MID, MP3, AVI, MOV etc). Requires MS MediaPlayer 5.2 or higher.
Display pictures (BMP, GIF, JPEG).
Command to SHUTDOWN, RESTART, LOGOUT etc (Windows 95 only).
Detect presence of Windows/dialogs.
Start Dial-up Networking connections (Windows 95 only).
Run Once options.
Tasks can be individually enabled/disabled and can be logged when run.
Enable/Disable tasks using script command.
Run tasks manually, on startup, on shutdown, or scheduled.
Very flexible scheduling of tasks:
- Between specified dates
- On weekdays/weekends/specific days
- Specified days or months
- On the Last day of month
- Once, between specified times, or outside specified times
- Every 1,2,5,10,15,20,or 30 minutes, or every 1,2,4,6,or 8 hours.
Optional Stealth mode hides entire program. No interface (32-bit version).
System tray icon (32-bit version).
Drag-and-drop task creation (32-bit version).
Year 2000 compatible

STATUS:

Development is on hold. I am looking for feedback on future ideas/directions for the program. If you use WinCron and/or have a comment please drop me a line.

This is not the only "WinCron" out there. The name is used on a couple other scheduling-type programs, but I believe mine was the first to use the name. This program is more than just a "CRON" so perhaps a better name is in order. If you can think of one please let me know.

REQUIREMENTS:

WinCron was written using VisualBASIC Professional, and requires the VB runtimes to be properly installed in your system. If you already have the runtimes on your system simply download the executables only, if not download the complete install package.

NOTE: Most sources for VB runtime do NOT include all the components required to run WinCron. If you are uncertain please download the FULL release!
