Short Snaps

  • Defending senior champion: Herman

  • Prior to 2009, set up with three conferences (essentially Tier I, II, III)

  • Effective 2009, Tier I and II combined into North and South Conferences.  Final standings will probably determine Newman or Wilson post season.

  • Four different schools have captured the past four Newman (Tier One) titles

  • Two schools (league champion and top A/AA school) advance to play Lambton Kent to determine SWOSSAA AAA/AAAA and A/AA champions. 

  • Both SWOSSAA champions advance to Western Bowl playdowns competing with Thames Valley and CWOSSA.

  • Sandwich is the only school to capture three consecutive Western Bowl titles

  • Western Bowl Champions: Sandwich 2003, 2002, 2001; Herman 2000

  • Conduct both senior and junior leagues
