The Pathways passport is designed to give students the opportunity to explore and plan out career possibilities. Technological education is an ongoing process throughout life providing many options to all levels of students. Courses in technology provide students with four pathways after high school: Workplace, Apprenticeship, College & University. Technological education offers a wide range of courses that build student confidence and provide valuable employablility skills to post-secondary destinations. For example, a workplace student could discover after a period of time that he/she is ready to try an apprenticeship or college level program. Upon completing one of those levels one could study towards a degree. There has recently been an increasing number of applied degree courses offered in technology. Technology is the future! Senior technological courses will prepare students with a hands-on experience providing skills and knowledge necessary for a bright and interesting future. Combined with a Co-op exposure, students will have the involvement and understanding to make an informed decision on their abilities to be successful. This gives students confidence when entering the workplace and gives them an advantage over other candidates. Students are invited to discover the many possibilities and benefits offered in technology. |
