Emerson R. Brown of 51 Parkside Drive, Apt. 106 died Sunday at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital in his 86th year after a lengthy illness.
Born in Luton, Malahide Township on April 3, 1890, son of the late Willard W. and Ruth Pritchard Brown, he had lived in St. Thomas for the past 15 years and had lived in the Aylmer area also.  He was a member of the St. Andrews United Church and was a retired Aylmer-area farmer.
His first wife, Mrs. Katie (Oke) Brown, died previously.
Surviving are his second wife Phyllis Sawer Brown; one son Harold H. Brown of RR1, Aylmer; three daughters, Mrs. Helen Clinton of Aylmer; Mrs. Roy (Mary) Mayo of London, and Mrs. Charles (Jean) Honsinger of St. Catherines; a brother, Howard S. Brown of Windsor and 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
