Mrs. Hopkins, wife of J. H. Hopkins, 55 Stanley street, passed away at the family residence at 3:30 o'clock this afternoon, after a long illness.
The death of Mrs. Rose Louise Hopkins, wife of James H. Hopkins, who passed away yesterday afternoon at her home, 55 Stanley street, after a long illness, will be mourned by a wide circle of friends.  Mrs. Hopkins, who was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Brown, was born in Brownsville sixty-one years ago, but for the past thirty-five years has lived in St. Thomas, where her gracious and kindly personality won for her many warm friends.
Mrs. Hopkins was a member of Knox Presbyterian church and was active in philanthropic work, taking a special interest in the work of the Thomas Williams Home.  She was also a member of the Historical Society.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Hopkins is survived by two sons, Harry S. Hopkins, of Denver, Colorado; Chester Hopkins, at home, and by two sisters and one brother, Mrs. S. A. Hoffman, of Idaho; Mrs. Mary Sanborn, at home, and Walter Brown, of Chicago.
The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon from the family residence, 55 Stanley
street, at half past two o'clock, Rev. J. M. Laird, Knox church, officiating. 
Interment will be made in the St. Thomas cemetery.
