Walter S. McTeer
Walter S. McTeer of 23 1/2 Wilson Avenue, St. Thomas, passed away suddenly Wednesday at his late residence in his 78th year.

Born in St. Redempteur (Levis) Quebec, April 6, 1899, he owned and operated the Hacienda in Aylmer for 25 years, returning to St. Thomas in 1972.

He was an adherent of the Presbyterian Church, and a post master of the Masonic Lodge.

His wife, the late former Winnifed W. Colville, passed away in 1973.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. J. Kenneth (Margaret) Harper of 161 Sunset Drive, St. Thomas; two brothers, David McTeer of Dearborn, Michigan and Harold McTeer of Ottawa; two grandchildren, Mrs. Grant (Janet) Ferguson of Brampton and Lorne Harper of Sarnia; three great-grandchildren, Jeffrey and Mark Ferguson and Jennifer Harper.

Resting at the Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, St. Thomas where the funeral will be held Friday at 3 p.m. with Dr. H. S. Rodney of Knox Presbyterian Church officiating.   Interment to be made in Elmdale Memorial Park.
