Retired Voice Teacher, 83, Had Edward Johnson as Pupil

Mrs. Louise Brown von Feilitzsch, a retired voice teacher, who formerly had a studio in the Metropolitan Opera House, died on Thursday in Minneapolis after a year's illness, according to word received here yesterday.  She had been living in Minneapolis for ten years and taught there until her retirement.  Her age was 83.

Born in Canada, Mrs. von Feilitzsch studied music in Europe and this country.  For eighteen years she taught at the Metropolitan Studios in the opera house here.  Among her pupils were Edward Johnson, operatic tenor and general manager of the Metropolitan Opera Association; Doris Kenyon, motion picture actress, and Evan Williams, singer.  She also taught public speaking.  She was a widow.
