The unofficial Clan MacLennan Genealogy website contains 32 registered lineages from around the world. Presently, it is the beginning foundation for a world wide internet MacLennan repository of over 16,000 surnames. As such it is part of, The MacLennan Resource Center maintained by Diane MacKenzie.
My own Nuclear Family has strong roots of over 200 years in the Counties of Eastern Ontario. For now, I will be including the following descendant family lineage reports as they evolve. Please keep in mind that these lines start at the youngest ~ Cole ~ and extends backwards through my wife's family and mine. At present we are still searching and validating our Canadian Kin. We hope to leave the confines of North America as soon as the Canadian Government allows us to research the census from post 1901.

The Clan MacLennan has a rich history of writers and teachers. Matt MacLennan has been collaborating with MacLinks in an attempt to promote the arts. His site is an association that is attempting to bring together upcoming artists under one umbrella to assist each other in the field of drama, writing, screenplay writing and numerous other fields in the arts.
This event in North American History included not just the American citizen but thousands of people throughout the world at the time. In my own research, I have found family members who fought for both the North and South. It is with knowledge in mind that we are collating research information specific to the Civil War. This information includes historical information contained in actual battle reports, eye witness interviews and diaries. Rosters have been located from specific hospitals, regiments, and cemeteries. In order to organize the data, The Maclinks' Civil War Center maintains four areas dealing with specific regions of interest for this time period.
Desoto Joe's Recommended Civil War Books and Resources. To date Desoto Joe's has recommended a total 189 reviewed Civil War Books books. "The Online Reading Center", has 76 links alone that can be downloaded and read or read online.
DJ has also included information dealing with reenactors and articles of interest with the creation of an online Newsletter. You'll have to visit his index page to see for yourself.
Information on Missouri. Rhonda Houston, also a Civil War research enthusiast, has added a section titled, Books in Print and Internet Databases for those looking for Missouri Men. Book mark this section as it changes on a weekly basis.
