Costello brothers lead Beachburg to win over Alice

Local Sports - BEACHBURG – Joey Costello and older brother Shawn Costello provided the offense as Beachburg hammered Alice 11-1 in Upper Ottawa Valley Men’s Fastball Monday night.

Joey Costello led off the first with a double past third base and then Shawn Costello cashed him in with a RBI single.

In the second inning, it was the younger Costello with another double, this one good for two RBIs to put Beachburg ahead 3-0.

 

 

BIG SWING – Beachburg’s Joey Costello swats a base hit against Alice during Upper Ottawa Valley Men’s Fastball League action Monday night in Beachburg. Costello was 3-4 with three doubles and two RBIs to lead Beachburg to an 11-1 thumping of the visiting Pembroke team.
