WC Electric blanked the Ottawa Blitz 8-0 in game one of their quarter final series in GOFL playoffs. 

 

Bud Hanlon and Brad Porter combined for a no-hitter, with Hanlon getting the win.  The Blitz had two base runners, both on WC Electric errors.  Hanlon had 4 strikeouts, and Porter had seven.

 

Jamie Blakely threw for the Blitz, allowing eleven hits in five innings, walking two and striking out five.  Derrick Bulley threw one inning, allowing one hit and striking out two.  The Blitz made four errors.

 

Michael Cavanagh had a bit night at the plate for Fitzroy, going 2 for 4 with two doubles aand driving in two.  Troy Wilson was 2 for 3 with a walk and Steve Cavanagh was 2 for 3.

 

The teams meet up tomorrow at 7PM in Manotick for game two, followed by game one of the Carp/Manotick series.
