Quyon took the boat over to Fitzroy Harbour on Sunday,
losing to the host WC Electric by a score of 7-0.
Both teams gave work to three pitchers. WC Electric started Bud Hanlon for three
innings, and Troy Wilson and Steve Cavanagh each threw two innings. The Flyers started Matt Greer who left in
the second, following by Earl Kearns, then Luke Young finished the game.
The Flyers had four hits on the game. Ben Younge had a double, and Dennis
McCleary, Joe McCleary, and Matt Greer had singles.
WC Electric had 10 hits, of which five came in the second
inning. Fitzroy sent 12 batters to the
plate in the second, when they scored all seven runs. Steve Cavanagh went 2 for 4 with an RBI, Neil Murphy was 1 for 3
with a double and an RBI on a sac fly, Troy Wilson was 2 for 3 with an RBI and
a run scored, and Todd Clouthier was 2 for 3
with a run scored.
