WC Electric defeated the Ottawa Blitz in Fitzroy Harbour on Wednesday night.

Brad Porter had the pitching victory, throwing four solid innings and allowing only three hits. Mark Wright came in to finish the game for the Electric. Derrick Bulley took the loss for the Ottawa team.

The Blitz led off the first, scoring their first run in the GOFL with John Hayden leading off with a triple and Scott Dumouchel bringing him with a sacrifice fly to centre.

WC Electric responded in the second with Shawn Rebertz hitting a double then being brought in on a Mark Wright home run. The Electric scored three more in the fourth with Mark Wright, Steve Cavanagh and Steve Johnson cashing RBIs.

The final run of the game of the Blitz was scored by right fielder John Hayden who hit the team's first ever home run in the GOFL to lead off the sixth.

Next up for the West Carleton Electric is "Friday Night Fastball" at home in Fitzroy Harbour on Friday May 26 at 8 PM versus Manotick Lomor Printers.
