Story:

West Carleton Electric then travelled to Sydenham, north of Kingston, for the annual long weekend tournament.  The Electric came away with a disappointing 0-3 record.

The first game saw the Electric losing 2-1 to another area team, the Ottawa Valley Raiders.  Mark Wright and Brad Porter pitched well for Fitzroy, scattering seven hits.  However the offence of the Electric was held to only three hits.  Third baseman Shawn Rebertz led the way with a double and scoring the team's only run.

Next up saw the Electric facing the eventual champions of the event, the Bracebridge Dura Pros, who had former Pan Am Games Team Canada pitcher Mike Crawford in the circle.  With the game 2-1 for Bracebridge after six innings, the wheels fell off in the seventh, with Fitzroy making several errors.  Final score was 10-1 for the Pros.  Bud Hanlon took the loss pitching.  Brad Porter and Troy Wilson also saw pitching action this game.  Offensively, the Electric were led once again by Shawn Rebertz who went two for three.  Centre fielder Jason Armstrong also had a hit and scored a run.

Fitzroy Harbour's third and final game was against Knoxville, a team with players from both the Kingston area and Pennsylvania.  This was a better showing by the local fastballers, playing error free ball, but they still came away on the short end of a 3-2 score.  Bud Hanlon and Brad Porter pitched well for the Electric, limiting the big bats of Knoxville to only four hits.  However, all three Knoxville runs were scored during a third inning rally.  Shortstop Michael Cavanagh paced the deal offensively with two clutch hits and two runs batted in.  Right fielder Jon Daley also had a strong game with a triple, a walk and scoring both Electric runs.
