Notes:
Dan Konkle pitched the first 3 innings for Team Quebec. Mark Wright came
in to pitch innings 4, 5 and 6. Konkle came back in finish it by
throwing the seventh inning to cap the win. Cory Costello took the loss,
giving up all four Team Quebec runs and was relieved by Shawn Costello in the
sixth inning.
Todd Hearty lead off the game for Quebec and hit a solo home run
to start the game off of Costello.
In the third, Matt Greer scored for the Quebeckers on an RBI
double by Todd Frasier. The next batter, Randy Peck, then hit a two run
homerun to put Team Quebec up 4-0.
Team Ontario’s only run was scored by Barry McIntyre on and RBI
double in the fifth inning by Scott Bell.
Lenny Burger who was supposed to get the start for Team Quebec,
was unable to do so after volunteering his arm to help the fundraiser that
afternoon when he pitched about 300 fastballs to locals for an hour straight to
raise money for the event. He went 1 for 3 with a double as the designated
hitter.
