BEACHBURG – Pembroke took advantage of some fine pitching by Len Burger and capitalized on a few errors by Beachburg for a 3-1 win in the first game of Upper Ottawa Valley Men’s Fastball League playoffs Tuesday night.

With Pembroke leading 3-0, Beachburg waited until the bottom of the seventh before getting their first hit of the game.

Ron Laronde led off for Beachburg with a double into right field and then scored on an RBI double by Shawn Costello.
