News:

 

·       Oct 9, 2003:  Final Ontario Intermediate Men’s rankings have been released for 2003.  Micksburg was ranked #8 based on their wins in the Kingston tourney, the Campbell’s Bay tourney and their strong showing at the Intermediate Eliminations.  Another local team, the Kemptville Thunder were ranked tied #9.  Beachburg was also given mention as the UOVMFL champions.

 

·       Sep 29, 2003:  Beachburg wins the playoff championship with a 3-0 series sweep over the Campbell’s Bay Royals.

 

·       Sep 16, 2003: Campbell’s Bay will be the other finalist after defeating the Pontiacs in Shawville in Game 7 of the other semi-final series.  Finals to begin Sunday Sep 21 in Campbell’s Bay.

 

·       Sep 12, 2003: Beachburg earns a trip to the finals with a Game 7, 1-0 victory over Micksburg in front of a packed ballpark.

 

·       Sep 9, 2003:  Bracebridge, the only team to defeat Micksburg at the OASA Eliminations, won the Eastern Canadian Intermediate “A” title, by defeating Hoyt, New Brunswick in the final, 11-4. 

 

·       Sep 5, 2003:  Petawawa will be hosting a fastball tournament in 2004.

·       Sep 2, 2003:  A team from Arnprior has expressed interest about joining the UOVMFL league for the 2003 season.

 

·       Aug 26, 2003: #4 Beachburg defeats #5 Pembroke 2-1 in Round 1 playoffs and will face the #1 Micksburg Twins in the Semi-Finals.

 

·       Aug 23, 2003: Despite earning a berth at the Eastern Canadians in New Brunswick for Intermediate A, the Micksburg Twins will be unable to attend.

 

·       Aug 17, 2003: Congratulations to the Jarvis Rock, from the Erie Fastball League that made the long trip up to the Valley and came away with the OASA Men’s C Provincial Championship with a 4-0 record. 

 

·       Aug 5, 2003: As per NAFA Ontario, Micksburg is ranked #4 in Ontario among Intermediate teams.

 

·       Aug 4, 2003: Congratulations to the Micksburg Twins who finished 2nd in Bracebridge at the OASA Eliminations and have earned a berth in the Eastern Canadian Intermediate “A” tournament in Fredricton, New Brunswick.  Article on the Micksburg Twins from the Pembroke Observer.
