Fitzroy Harbour 3rd Annual Men’s Fastball Tournament 2004

Fitzroy Harbour Community Centre
This
season’s invitational tournament at Fitzroy Harbour to be held starting Friday
August 27 with the finals being held on Sunday August 29.

Each
team will be guaranteed three games with entry fee of $325. Format is a modified double knockout.
Based
on the seven teams registered, the winning team will receive $800 in prize
money and the finalist will have their entry fee returned. Teams losing their first two games will
participate in a consolation game with a round of beer on the line.
There
will be an admission fee of $2/day or $5/weekend with children 16 and under
free. Players and coaches do not have
to pay, but we ask that spouses and other fans pay to help us defray the cost
of running the tournament.
There
will be a beer garden on site and inside our hall is also licensed. Due to the Ontario liquor license
regulations, we ask that no alcohol be consumed outside of the designated area
(i.e. in the stands, parking lot, etc.).
Playing
rules:
1. Eligibility: Open to any player/pitcher.
2. ISC Pitching rule.
3. No tied games.
If tied after 7 innings, teams will place their last out on second base
to beginning in the eighth inning (“International Rule”). The International rule does not apply to the
finals.
4. Mercy rule: 6
run lead after 5 innings, 5 run lead after 6 innings.
5. No time limit on games. Please be ready to play at the schedule time so we can keep on
track.
6. Please declare all substitutions to the home plate
umpire.
7. Coin toss will determine home team in all games.
8. All other Softball Canada rules in effect.
