Upset with the delivery of treaty trade goods, the Crowsfeet have been making noise and threatening violence for weeks. Now, as the day approaches for the delivery of the trade goods, things are going from bad to worse. Runamuk has sent one of his strongest warriors, One To Be Named Later, out to "inspect" the goods, to see to it that his people aren't being cheated by Ottawa. Fearful of a full scale assault on the train, the government has stationed a platoon of York and Simcoe infantry aboard the train and also put the local NWMP detachment, Q Division on alert.
The train left Lower Fort Garry yesterday without incident, but now, well into the Acinnibun Territory the tracks have been blocked. It's here, obviously, that the Crowsfeet will make their stand.....
