Grant Taylor has been a professional woodworker since 1975. He studied in the United States with master woodcarver Art Ritchie of Keene, New Hampshire, and in Connemara, Ireland with furniture master Al O'Dea.
Taylor has combined his training of carving and Irish design to make traditional Celtic and Celtic-inspired furniture since 1981.
Taylor's furniture has been awarded the prestigious award 'Best in Traditional Design' from the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen.
In addition to his furniture work, Taylor makes and plays Celtic harps and is an accomplished player of traditional Irish dance music on wooden flute and whistle. He works alone in a stone studio that he built in South Acworth, New Hampshire.
